Topic-Based Writing For an Opportunity Essay
Topic-Based Writing For an Opportunity EssaySome writers can't get their head around the idea of applying topic-based writing to an opportunity essay. It's no wonder they leave the topic choices blank, hoping that the essay writer will be able to connect the dots for them. For the writer, it's easy to forget that the essay is supposed to get the student to develop her thinking skills. A good topic choice does this.In my opinion, any essay that makes the reader interested in the opportunity must include at least one topic related to the topic. But most students write the whole thing off as a waste of time, anyway. That's not fair. The assignment isn't just about developing skills; it's also about stimulating the intellect. I'll try to get past the hurdles with a few ideas to help. For someone who is not only serious about getting into college, but also serious about preparing a great essay, there are three topics that need to be focused on. These are: (1) finding your place in the worl d, (2) what your life goals are, and (3) understanding yourself. I'll put all three topics together in one post.We can start by looking at the first two. What is your life goal? This is an important question to ask, since it tells you what you hope to do with your life.Next, think about what your life goals are. These are the goals that you have set for yourself. You may not know them yet, but you've probably developed a list of them.Understanding these goals is an important step in the process. When you understand your goals, you are able to define exactly what you hope to do once you reach college. This gets you to understand how your life can change once you get to college.Hopefully these three topics have given you some ideas on how to approach the essay for a serious student. If you are someone who doesn't even consider writing a true opportunity essay, take a look at how these three topics might help you.
